The Painting Project

Not happy with all our 1990's style woodwork, we decided to undergo a big home improvement project to our main floor. We set out to paint the woodwork white, as well as paint all the walls and ceilings.  Only problem is, our main floor has a TON of woodwork...and painting woodwork turned out to be quite the pain. We have crown moldings, chair rails, baseboard trim and also wainscoating and a fireplace mantle. Being a professional painter, my Uncle Dave agreed to help us out and also my Mom.  They stayed 2 1/2 days and painted woodwork from early morning until evening.  We enjoyed spending time with them during their stay. Take a look below at the difference and improvement!  We love it and could not have done it without their help.  During this project I even became proficient with a caulking gun and also spackle...who would have thought I could be so handy? The living room is completely finished (windows & doors will be completed in spring), the dining room still needs ceiling and walls painted...more pictures to come when we finish the dining room!
