This is 30.

Vince celebrated a big birthday on May 25th, he is now 30 years old! 30 used to seem so far away to us, but it has become a reality now for this new Dad.  I like to remind him that at my next birthday I will not be 30 quite yet, I'll still be in my 20's. ;)  But it will happen for me too, soon enough.  For Vince's actual birthday, we went out to lunch at Market Street Diner here in Sun Prairie.  They give you a huge cake when it's your bday, it was delicious! Vince decided for his birthday he also wanted to paint two doors and do yard work.  Wow, settle down Vince!  He put a lot of time into those doors and did a fantastic job.  The following day, I had gotten us tickets to the Brewers game.  And it was Ryan Braun bobblehead day too, what could be better?  We went to the game with Vince's friend Brandon and his girlfriend Trina.  We tailgated the quick way by just bringing Subway and a cooler of beer.  The seats were very good along the 1st base line.  Vince said he wouldn't mind making the Brewers trip an annual event for his birthday.  I'm glad he enjoyed his 30th birthday!

While we were at the Brewers game, Sam hung out in Watertown with Grandma and Grandpa Kube.  They had a trial run to prepare for the following week where they would have him for his 1st overnight away while we were at a wedding in Milwaukee. Vince was a groomsman in his good friend Adam's wedding on June 1st.  After the ceremony, Jeff and Julie picked up Sam for the night.  We appreciated having a night without the little guy.  We had a great time at the reception!  Even though we weren't tired from waking up to a crying baby, I for one was feeling tired the next morning due to the night's festivities. I had to live it up while we had the chance! Vince and I both were ready to see our baby the next morning as we were driving back.  The 45 minute drive seemed to take forever!  We had a blast but we missed Sam too.

Sam is now 2 months old, my how fast the time goes!  He now smiles back at you and also loves peek a boo, he gets so excited.  He is able to interact more now, and he finds everything fascinating. We love to watch his facial expressions.  His 2 month check up went well.  He has a large head (80 percentile), and now weighs 11 lbs. 4 oz. and was 22 3/4 inches long.  (both 50 percentile for weight and height)  We don't think the height was correct though because we measured him at an inch longer than they did.  The doctor was very pleased with everything and the only area we could work on would be to do some stretches with his neck to the left because he favors his head position to the right.  He got his first series of 3 different shots and did pretty good.  Interestingly enough, there was a clinic-wide power outage in the middle of our visit, and they ended up giving the shots by the light of a flashlight!

Cooper took over the bouncy seat as his own.

Sam was laying on his back and then ended up on his side somehow!
