Will It Ever Be Spring?

It has been a long time since I've written on the Blog!  Since my last post, Vince has finished up with Basketball season.  The girls did really well and the team made it to the Regional Finals.  Even though it was sad to see them lose, I was ready to have Vince back home more in the evenings.  We took a weekend to MN to do some skiing at good ole Mt Kato.  I was the only one who fell, and it was while demonstrating to Vince how to get going while on flat ground.  Whoops!  Sam enjoyed the parent-and-me swimming lesson class at the Y on Saturday mornings.  At first it was a little rough for him.  I think the noise of the pool area was hard for him.  But each lesson he got more and more comfortable, and at the end he seemed to enjoy being in the water!  Our Saturday morning routine consisted of Vince playing pickup basketball at the Y from 6am-8am, then he would come home to send me to my Body Pump class at the Y from 8:30 to 9:30, then we'd have Sam's swim class at the Y at 10:30.  Luckily the Y is under 2 miles away!  It seems hectic but I enjoy our Saturday mornings. Our friends also had their kids in swim class at the same time so it was fun chatting with them and watching the kiddos.  We've also been doing house projects including painting our staircase spindles, painting remaining doors white and doing lots of baby proofing.  Sam is not quite walking but is into everything via crawling and cruising so baby gates went up. We are also getting estimates for putting up a locker/cabinet storage built off our garage entryway for coats and shoes etc. This winter was difficult without having any closet there and it will be so much nicer for next winter.  We are also undertaking our landscaping project very soon.  The plants were supposed to be delivered mid April, but now won't be until end of May due to the late spring freezes.  I am a little nervous about landscaping because neither of my thumbs are very green, but Vince assures me if we follow the blueprint drawn out by the landscape architect we will be just fine.  I hope he's right!
