Keeping Up With The Kube Family: May 2014

We've been enjoying being outside now that we are having warmer weather! Vince, Sam and I have been going on evening runs w/the jogging stroller after work when the weather is nice. We also have been able to get out to the Madison Farmers Market, hike around the Arboretum (bird watching as well for Vince), and spend lots of time at the park. Sam likes to be pushed in the swing, climb through the tunnel, and go down the slide on my lap. He really likes to watch and listen to the big kids play. It's been an eventful month in Sam's life since he had his first birthday. He is now walking everywhere! He has had a ton of bumps and bruises while learning to walk... a bit of a clumsy, wobbly guy at first! But he's really got it down now and can catch his balance instead of falling. He also mastered climbing up the stairs. He doesn't know how to safely get down the stairs yet though, so we have to watch him very closely. He also wants to know what everything is. He points at something and says, "This?" It's pretty cute. He also is completely done with bottles and drinks milk from a sippy cup. Such a big boy! His favorite thing to do right now is play with his ball. He picks it up, throws it, chases after it and throws it again... It entertains him and keeps him busy as well! Vince and I started up our sand volleyball league again. We have played at a couple different volleyball league locations since we've lived in Madison, but this year we decided to play in Sun Prairie. It is 2 blocks from our house! We just walk there, it works out great. We play every Thursday. Our 1st match we won all 3 games!
